Hearing-impaired kids enjoy rehabilitation camp in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Over 40 children with hearing loss spent the day at a rehabilitation camp in Greenville.

The event gives kids and their parents the opportunity to meet new friends with similar struggles. The one day camp also benefits ECU’s Speech Language students by teaching new lesson plans. Kids

Kids colored, made clouds, and even learned new words.

“Socially to be around other children who have implants or hearing aids or who may use sign language so the social and emotional part of it,” explained clinical instructor Emily Brewer.

The camp ranged from ages 3 to 18.
