Pamlico River Ferry up and running Friday

BATH, N.C. (WNCT) – As of 8:45 a.m. Friday, the Pamlico River Ferry is back on regular schedule.


BATH, N.C. (WNCT) – The Pamlico River Ferry is closed for repairs Friday.

The NCDOT Ferry Division says it appears lighting struck the vessel causing several parts of the ferry to be nonoperational. The ferry reports some of the damage includes no air conditioning in the passenger lounge and no engine room exhaust fans.

The ferry will be shut down until repairs are complete. A timetable on when those repairs are expected to done has not been released.
