Goldsboro native charged with cocaine possession

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Faronta Ramon Thompson, 38, was charged with one count of cocaine possession, according to the Wayne County Drug Unit.

On June 21, Wayne County officials were investigation the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics in Goldsboro. A traffic stop, that was due to a regulatory violation, turned into an arrest after officers saw the driver conceal cocaine in his hand.

Thompson was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $1,500 bond.
