RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) – Some people are looking to make money and aren’t necessarily looking to support any candidates.
While hundreds of people lined up at the State Fairgrounds to see Hillary Clinton, dozens of vendors lined up to see the people and sell hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise.
Everything from buttons to thirst was on sale at the Fairgrounds. Vendors from all over the country made their way to the triangle for Clinton’s campaign. Some prefer to sell clothes at Clinton events, and others just follow the crowd regardless of the candidate.
“Where we think there’s going to be money in the crowd, that’s what you have to focus on,” said Larry Burris, a salesman.
As for which candidate sells more, Donald Trump or Clinton, Burris said he makes more money at Trump rallies. He also said there’s a lot more security there as well.
