PA couple accused of giving teen daughter to man as repayment

FEASTERVILLE, PA (WNCT) – One woman’s call prompted police to investigate a home in Feasterville, PA, where 12 girls without birth certificates were found.

The man living there, Lee Kaplan, was charged by police for aggravated indecent assault after having sexual relations with one of the girls when she was 14 years old. That girl, who is now 18, is believed to have had two of Kaplan’s children.

Police said the parents of the girl, David and Sevilla Stoltzfus, gave the oldest daughter to Kaplan as some kind of repayment for a financial situation. Police believe the two are also parents of the other 10 children found in the home.

Police said the parents were aware their daughter was having sexual relations with Kaplan when she was 14 years old. The father is charged with conspiracy of statutory sexual assault and child endangerment, and the mother is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Both parents are being held under a $1 million bond.
