SPRING HOPE, N.C. (WNCT) – A suspicious death investigation ends with Nash County deputies charging four people in connection to a homicide.
It happened at home on the 13000 block of West Old Spring Hope Road in Spring Hope around 8 o’clock Friday morning.
The Nash County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the home after someone found a family member unresponsive with a possible gunshot wound.
When first responders arrived at the home they found 21-year-old Tony Braswell shot in the chest. Investigators say Braswell died from his wounds.
As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested 33-year-old Shannon Jones, 17-year-old Mallory Johnson, 21-year-old Madison Johnson, and 21-year-old Danny Womack.
Jones was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. He is in the Nash County Detention Center without bond until his first court appearance on June 20th.
Madison and Mallory Johnson and Womack were charged with Accessory Before the Fact to Felony and Conceal or Failure to Notify Death of a Person. Madison and Mallory were given $25,000 bonds. Womack was given a $40,000 bond.
All three are also scheduled to appear in court on June 20th.
Investigators are still looking for a fifth person involved in the incident.
