MOREHEAD CITY, NC (WNCT) – The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament ended on Saturday, with no boats offshore on the final day of fishing.

Due to Saturday’s poor weather conditions, the 27 boats eligible to fish stayed in.

The Ashley Lauren is in first place, hooking a 621 pound blue marlin. Marlin Gull will take second place with a 564.8 pound blue marlin, and Viking 72 hangs onto third with a 564.1 pound blue.

Ashley Lauren also took home first place at the Lady Angler tournament, which kicked off the week’s events. The crew won $662,995 from the Big Rock’s record $1,914,100 purse, and $13,281 from winning the Lady Angler.

Awards are announced Saturday at 7pm at the Crystal Coast Civic Center.
