Weather leaves more than 1,100 without power in Dare County

MANTEO, N.C. (WNCT) – More than 1,100 of Dominion Power’s North Carolina customers were left without power Friday morning.

According to the electric company’s website, inclement weather caused the outages.

An outage map showed Dare County is the main county in North Carolina impacted by the outages. As of 8 o’clock Friday morning, 1, 1,108 customers reported not having power.

As of noon, most of the outages had been restored.
