Locals react to “The Greatest” passing away

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – People in the east remembered and honored the great Muhammad Ali Saturday.

The sign posted at Title Boxing Club in Greenville bard the famous line, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.”

General Manager Opal Webb said he was the greatest boxer of all time and was a great man, “Muhammed Ali had a strong belief in himself and whatever he believed he could do, he did it. I hope that’s what people remember the most about him. If you believe in yourself, if you dream it, you can achieve it.”

Ali donated millions to charity and became a goodwill ambassador for Islam and the United States.
