Pines Elementary modified lockdown lifted after threat

PLYMOUTH, N.C. (WNCT) – According to the Washington County Schools superintendent, Pines Elementary was on a modified lockdown for a short time Thursday morning.

Christopher Rouson, who was arrested for murdering his father and stepmother in Bertie County, made a threat against his mother, who works at Pines Elementary School, Washington County Sheriff Barnes told 9 On Your Side.

As a precaution, they locked down the entire school.

Pines Elementary’s lockdown was already lifted after finding out Rouson was arrested in Oklahoma.
