GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Willie Rojas and Dominic Robinson made their first appearance in Beaufort County Monday morning.
Wenseslao Rojas Jr. hasn’t been transferred to Beaufort County, according to Charlie Rose of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said Robinson, Rojas, and Rojas Jr. broke into a home on Highway 17 in Washington on Monday, May 9th. Deputies said the trio also robbed a home on Possum Hill Road in Bath on Sunday, May 15th.
The sheriff’s office said three elderly people were in the homes sleeping when the suspects entered the homes. The men are accused of tying the victims up, forcing them to open their safes, and taking guns, money, jewelry, and electronics from them.
On Thursday, deputies received a tip that the Rojas brothers were trying to sell the stolen guns in Zebulon. That’s when deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested the brothers.
During interviews, they found probable cause to also arrest Robinson. Stolen items were recovered at the Rojas’ residence.
Willy Rojas and Dominic Robinson are charged with two counts each of First Degree Burglary, two counts each of Larceny After Breaking and Entering, two counts each of Safecracking.
They also face two counts each of First Degree Kidnapping, two counts each of Felonious Restraint and two counts each of Felony Conspiracy. They are being held in Wake County, on a $1 million bond.
Wenseslao faces additional drug charges. His bond is $2 million.
The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff’s office says more arrests are possible.
