Shooting in Lenoir Co. sends one man to hospital

KINSTON, N.C. – A shooting in Kinston sent one man to the hospital.

Kinston Police were called to 2230 Ivy Rd. just before 10 p.m. Saturday about a gunshot victim, but when they got there, they found the victim had already been transported to Lenoir Memorial Hospital. That’s where they located 23-year-old Nacasio Dixon with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Investigators said Dixon, along with two other residents were standing outside the home when two subjects walked up and began shooting at them before fleeing the scene.
