Suspect arrested in Lenoir County stabbing

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Lenoir County deputies arrested a woman after a stabbing on Saturday night.

41-year-old Monica Rouse was arrested for the stabbing of a 42-year-old man at 561 Briss Rd around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. She’s charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury.

The victim was stabbed in the chest and taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital. His current condition is unknown.

Rouse remains in custody at the Lenoir County Jail and is due in court on Monday.
