FARMVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office makes a bust in a drug candy operation.
Deputies found the operation on Goldsboro Run in Farmville Tuesday, when they were trying to serve a warrant for 58-year-old Charles Bynum, an absconder from Wilson County.
While trying to serve the warrant, they found 25-year-old Bennie Daniels, Jr. sitting in his 2011 Cadillac with the following:
· Jar of marijuana
· Marijuana blunt
· Pill bottle and bag with small pills
· Colored candy cannabis – Each bag contained 200mg of high grade marijuana
· Another bag of high grade marijuana
· Digital scales
· US currency pen.

Bynum was located inside the home. That’s where K9 Banzi also located a crack pipe and poker.
Bynum was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. He was transported to Pitt County Detention Center and remains under a $26,000 secured bond.
Daniels was arrested and charged with trafficking opium or heroin, PWISD, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and maintain vehicle/dwelling/place. He was transported to PCDC and placed under a $500,000 secured bond. He was released Wednesday under a $40,000 secured bond.
