BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT) – A cover band is helping to kick off Friday night’s round of performances in Beaufort.
The festival is at the Beaufort historic site grounds and three other bands are on Friday night’s lineup.
But Beaufort is not the only host on the Crystal Coast for live performances. Atlantic Beach has a music festival Saturday.
“If you’re a music love, tomorrow is a great day to be in Carteret County,” said Atlantic Beach Mayor Trace Cooper.
Towns along the Crystal Coast are inviting you to their music festivals. Beaufort’s festival features more than 15 bands and organizers say to bring the whole family!
Local business owners are hoping you’ll stop by their shops as well. They’re expecting to feel the impact of thousands of folks visiting their towns daily.
“An amazing increase per hour compared to normal regular business days,” said Tonya Castor, a bartender at CRU Coffee and Wine Bar in Beaufort.
Six bands will be at Saturday’s Atlantic Beach music festival, which is free also.
Mayor Cooper said many of the festival organizers came together to both bring in extra cash for businesses and keep you coming back for more, “To bring cool things to the area, but also to do it before Memorial Day to extend our summer season some and last I heard that hotel rooms are sold out all the way up to New Bern.”
“And what’s not to love, great craft beer and stuff for the kids to do and great bands,” said John Hackney, organizer of the Beaufort Music Festival.
With the quaint feel of both towns, you can expect to not feel crowded despite the large turnout of people.
“I mean it’s a pretty cool thing that’s going on here in town even if people don’t know about it, when they come in town they always leave with a good impression,” said Hackney.
