Camp Lejeune training exercise wraps up with review from Commandant of Marine Corps

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (WNCT) – Camp Lejeune officials are wrapping up a two-week long training exercise.

9 On Your Side reported on the base’s second largest unit taking part in a two week long training exercise to ensure they’re prepared when they deploy.

The unit was reviewed on different sections, including information operations, command and control and artillery and aviation.

Camp Lejeune Public Affairs said that, overall, the Commandant of the Marine Corps was pleased with how the training exercise was conducted.

“I am excited and motivated by what I heard and saw today,” said Gen. Robert B. Neller, Commandant of the Marine Corps. “Marines training, being self-critical, and working hard to get better and getting ready for the future.”
