Three arrested in breaking and entering of Jacksonville home

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Three suspects were arrested after an attempted armed robbery in Jacksonville at the Wellington Grove Apartments Tuesday night.

The Jacksonville Police Department arrived on scene and began to follow the suspect vehicle. It was driving in circles in a parking lot and eventually the suspect vehicle drove into a tree.

One suspect fled the vehicle on foot while the two remaining suspects remained in the car. Jacksonville PD apprehended the runner, then proceeded to charge the other two.

18-year-old Teshaun Wilkinson, 29-year-old Christopher McKinnon and 27-year-old Britanny Hendricks were all charged with possession of a stolen firearm and numerous other charges.

“The excellent response of the officers on patrol resulted in a swift apprehension of the three suspects,” said Chief Mike Yaniero, Director of Public Safety.   “We will not tolerate criminal activity in our community.”
