Man recovering from serious injuries in Maysville shooting, suspect behind bars

MAYSVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A man is recovering from serious injuries after deputies in Jones County have made an arrest in a late night shooting, according to interim town manager, James Harper.

19-year old Tiquan Outlaw faces attempted murder, possession of a stolen firearm, and two other charges.

According to Sheriff Danny Heath of the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, a shooting happened Wednesday night in Maysville on Jenkins.

The victim, James Tribble, was transported to CarolinaEast and then to Vidant Medical Center in critical condition.

Heath said Outlaw is behind bars.

The Maysville Police Department, Jones and Onslow Sheriff’s Offices, and the State Bureau of Investigation where all involved in the helping apprehend the suspect.
