Planned water outage scheduled for some Jacksonville residents

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- A new fire hydrant is getting installed and water will be shut off for some city residents between 9 p.m. May 11, and 1 a.m. Thursday, May 12.

Crews will oversee the installation of the new hydrant and control valve at the Marine Boulevard and Queens Road intersection.

The planned water outage will affect residents along Richlands Avenue, Sherwood Road, Roosevelt Road, Queens Road, Phillips Road and Louis Avenue.

Weather conditions permitting, a rain date is scheduled for Friday, May 13 during the same overnight hours.
