Pitt wins two again, will play for Region X title on Wednesday

KINSTON (WNCT) – Pitt Community College continued its torrid play by winning two more games on Tuesday and advancing to the Region X tournament championship game.

Pitt beat Guilford Tech in their first game of the day, 10-1 to advance to the championship series against USC Lancaster.

Pitt then beat USC Lancaster, 7-5 to force a one game, winner-take-all contest on Wednesday for the tournament title.

The championship game was originally set for 2pm on Wednesday but has been moved up to noon to try and beat potentially bad weather.

Pitt lost its opener in the tournament on Saturday morning, and then ran off five straight wins to make it to tomorrow’s championship game.
