Mother’s Day breakfast in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Some mothers celebrated Mother’s Day with a free breakfast at the Red Oak Christian Church on Sunday morning.

Moms and their children got to sit down to eat and talk about why mothers are so important in their lives. Some were even seen showing photos of their moms who were no longer with them.

Hazel Erwin says it’s the little things that make all the difference.

“I got up this morning and my son that lives with me gave me a card with a balloon. He took me out to eat last night and I also had a card from our dog, my grand dog,” said Erwin.

The church said people should also give thanks to dads and other family members who fit the mother role as well.
