WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is scheduling a pesticide collection day for the Beaufort County area.
NCDACS, in cooperation with Beaufort County Cooperative Extension, will offer the service for residents in Beaufort and surrounding counties.
The local site manager will be Rod Gurganus, Agricultural Extension Agent for Beaufort County.
The Pesticide Collection day will be May 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Beaufort County Extension Office located at 155 Airport Road in Washington.
Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted.
For liquid pesticide containers larger than 5 gal or for unlabeled pesticides, please contact the Cooperative Extension Office for information before bringing to the collection event.
No gas cylinders are accepted at the event; however, assistance information can be provided.
