ENC Pet Food Pantry in need of food donations

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Pet Food Pantry of Eastern North Carolina is in need of food donations.

Volunteers spent their day outside Sam’s Club trying to get community members to donate a bag of dog or cat food. The donations go straight to families who are struggling to feed their pets. Every month the pantry gives out approximately 9,000 of food. A volunteer says that after they distribute the food to the families in need, it’s like starting all over again.

Kristen Below said, “It’s really important to be able to help those people be able to keep their pets so they won’t have to surrender them to our already overcrowded shelters.”
