Police: Man with gunshot wound drives himself to the hospital

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Officers with the Greenville Police Department are investigating an early morning shooting.

It happened just before one o’clock Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to Vidant Medical Center after a man showed up with a gunshot wound. They said the victim drove to the hospital after being shot near Burrington and Hooker roads.

Police said the victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

The shooting is under investigation.
