GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT)- Vendors lined the halls of Greenville City Hall today in hopes of landing a new gig.
The city opened its doors to the community’s minority, women, and locally owned businesses. The mix and meet event is a part of the city’s economic development initiative.
Businesses pitched their ideas to the city, Greenville Utilities, and East Carolina University.
The purpose of the event is to give local businesses a shot at working with the city and university.
“Our goal is always, of course, increase business we want individuals to build those relationships, gain knowledge about upcoming opportunities, so they can position themselves to win,” Denisha Harris with Greenville financial services said.
There was also a match-making session where vendors could talk to specific departments.
