PepsiCo, Inc. CEO asks McCrory to repeal HB2 law

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – Backlash continues against the new controversial North Carolina law, House Bill 2.

PepsiCo, Inc. is the most recent to take a stand against the law.

The CEO of PepsiCo asked Governor Pat McCrory to repeal the new law. In a letter hand-delivered to McCrory, PepsiCo CEO Indra Cooyi called the law inconsistent with how her company treats its employees.

She also said the law is undermining efforts to advance North Carolina’s interests, and she said she hopes McCrory would consider repealing the law when the state legislature reconvenes later this month.

Pepsi was created in New Bern.
