Local farm benefits due to warm temperatures

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Brocks Berries and Produce in Winterville already has home grown strawberries. The berries aren’t usually ready until mid-April, but came early due to the summer-like temperatures.

Sunday afternoon, community members spent some time in the fields picking their own berries.

Heidi Dennison said, “We come here every year. We pick blueberries and blackberries. The kids like it so it’s a good family thing to do.”

Brock’s Berries and Produce said they’re planning to have strawberry pie and much more in the upcoming weeks.
