Pamlico Co. Sheriff’s Office arrests 31 in ‘Operation No Joke’

BAYBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – A drug round-up in Pamlico County puts 31 people behind bars and more arrests are expected.

It’s part of “Operation No Joke” through the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation.

During the operation, over 150 grams of meth, nearly 200 doses of oxycodone and nearly 30 grams of cocaine were seized.

Sheriff Chris Davis said these arrests are fulfilling an ongoing promise to the community to keep the streets clean and drug-free, “I want all the citizens in Pamlico County to know that we are actively working drugs, that we have our guys on the street every day trying to buy drugs from these drug dealers.”

“Operation No Joke” has been active for eight months and investigators hope to arrest at least 20 more people.
