String of vandalisms on Lejeune Blvd. show crime trend in area

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – There has been a recent string of vandalism to more than 20 shops and businesses on Lejeune Boulevard.

Police have also seen damage to homes and property.

The Stop and Pawn was a victim to one of those vandalism’s just last week. Police say someone shot out the business’ windows with a BB gun.

Neighboring businesses tell us their store was broken into within the last month and a nearby church’s windows had also been shot with BB’s.

“We’re going to be putting more cameras up that is for sure. Like I said, we can’t stop something we can’t see, you know, so hopefully they don’t come get us,” said Andrew Sims, an employee at the Bargain Shop.

Police plan to investigate any leads. They ask you contact them with any information you may have regarding this string of crime.
