GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – ECU baseball wrapped up “Mustache March”, Thursday evening on live television in “one shaving moment.”
Players, coaches, and our very own WNCT Sports Director Brian Bailey, reached for the razor in support of ALS research.
Head coach Cliff Godwin shaved off Bailey’s mustache live on WNCT, the Official Station of the Pirates.
Throughout the month of March, players, coaches, and support staff members grew mustaches to raise money for the ALS Association, specifically the Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter.
Junior infielder, Charlie Yorgen came up with the idea to honor former coach Keith LeClair who battled the disease before his passing in 2006.
So far the team has raised $4,600 for ALS research, but it’s not too late to donate.
