Students celebrate Connect NC bond

NEW BERN, NC (WNCT)- Students at Craven Community College are celebrating the Connect NC bond. Students held signs at the front of campus to show their appreciation. They waved to drivers passing by thanking them for voting for the bond.

One craven student says it’s going to make a big difference.

“$350 million goes to community colleges, and we’re going to get a portion of that here,” student Dominique Johnson said. “What we’re going to do is our plans are to build a new step building at our havelock campus and also to do a few renovations here on our campus.”

Johnson is excited about all the new resources students will receive because of the bond passing.
