GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – In September, an 85-year-old woman was defrauded by a construction company in Rocky Mount, over home repairs that were supposed to take place.
D&D Construction Company was scheduled to replace shingles on the victim’s home and repair the vinyl siding.
Instead, the victim paid for the repairs, but David Viverette, of D&D Construction Company, didn’t follow through with the repairs.
Viverette was charged with obtaining property by false pretense and habitual felon status.
On Monday, an attorney prosecuted Viverette and he was sentenced to 73-to-100 months by the Department of Corrections.
