Jacksonville man sentenced after pleading guilty to child pornography charges

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WNCT)- The United States Attorney’s Office sentenced Ronald Leslie Pierce, Jr. to over 12 years in prison after being charged with possession of child pornography.

Last March, Pierce, Jr. was named in an eleven count indictment that initially charged him with possession of child pornography.

Several months later, the actor pled guilty to those charges.

In November of 2013, detectives from the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s office found a suspect computer that shared child pornography by using a file sharing network.

Once detectives were able to locate the source, they identified the IP address and linked it to Pierce, Jr.’s computer.

From there, officials found thousands of photos and videos relating to child pornography.

After Pierce, Jr.’s sentencing is up, he will be under supervised release for 10 years
