Multiple fire crews respond to Pitt County home

SIMPSON, N.C. (WNCT) – Several Pitt County fire departments responded to a report of a fire at a home on 2620 Gatlin Street on Tuesday in Simpson. The call came in shortly after noon.

Initially, the owner of the home saw the fire and alerted authorities. Most of the damage took place in the kitchen and there were no injuries.

According to officials, three adults were displaced and the Red Cross is coming to aide the victims. Currently, the fire is under investigation and there isn’t any suspicion of foul play.

Black Jack Fire Department, Grimesland Fire Department and Easter Pines Fire Department all sent crews to the scene. Pitt County EMS also responded.
