Free Friday events across Eastern North Carolina

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- It’s another Friday here in the east. Here are a few free events going on in your area.

In honor of Dr. Suess’ birthday, Greenville Recreation & Parks staff will read “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.” and create

They will also create themed crafts with play games with children. The goal is to incorporate fun while teaching kids about the fish in local ponds and river.

It is taking place Friday, March 4th at 10:30 in the morning.

Homes in a Craven County neighborhood are decorated in Mardi Gras fashion March 2nd-5th.

On Saturday, Ghent Neighborhood will hold a parade. It will include floats, bands, dancers, acrobats, and magicians.

The parade will begin at 2:00 p.m.
