Beaufort County Community College hosting Public Safety Weekend

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Beaufort County Community College is hosting a “Public Safety Weekend” to help police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel earn their required yearly training.

Program organizer Johnny Williams said more than 100 first responders will be participating in the event.

“I’m looking forward to having it,” Williams said. “I’m also looking forward to it being over because it’s one of those things where you don’t realize how much it is to plan something like this until you start planning it.”

Williams says if people haven’t registered yet, they can do so Saturday and Sunday mornings morning on-campus.
