Motorcyclist killed in Greenville Blvd. accident identified

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A motorcyclist is dead after a motorcycle accident on Greenville Boulevard Thursday morning.

The Greenville Police Department said the driver, 31-year-old Dominique Bryant, was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene. It happened at the intersection of Greenville Boulevard and Golden Road.

Investigators said the motorcycle was headed toward 10th Street on Greenville Boulevard when a car, traveling in the opposite direction, turned in front of the motorcycle and hit it.

A 9 On Your Side viewer said she saw heavy flames while stuck in traffic near Trinity Christian School.

GPD closed a portion of Greenville Boulevard from 14th Street to 10th Street for a couple of hours following the accident.

Police said the driver of the car, 55-year-old Jeanne Smith, was not hurt, but charges are pending.
