Police arrest a man caught peeping into child’s room in New Bern

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – New Bern Police arrest a man caught peeping into the window of child’s room.

Police say officers were called to a home on the 900 block of Simmons Street Tuesday night in reference to a prowler. When officers arrived they found 44-year-old John C. Reddick with his pants down, looking into a child’s room .

Police say when officers approached Reddick he took off running. After a foot chase, officers were able to catch up with him and arrest him.

Reddick is charged with Peeping into an Occupied Room while Possessing a Device Capable of Taking Photographs and Resisting Arrest.

He was taken to the Craven County Jail and given a $25,000 bond.
