South Central Boys, Rose Girls clinch Eastern Carolina 4A/3A Titles

GREENVILLE (WNCT) – Matisse Edwards hit a three-point shot with :07 to play to lift South Central to a 51-48 win over rival DH Conley Thursday night.

Edwards and Malik Jordan shared game high scoring honors with 14 points each.

The Falcons win clinches the Eastern Carolina 4A/3A regular season championship for South Central.

“Anytime you win a championship you don’t take it for granted,” said South Central Coach Chris Cherry. “This is six in the last seven years for us.”

JH Rose finished second in the league standings. The Rampants beat New Bern Tuesday night 66-58.

The JH Rose girls took home their first conference championship since 2006 with a 60-53 win over New Bern.
