Pink Hill men sentenced in drug cases

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) – A federal judge sentenced two men from Pink Hill to serve prison time on Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Ralph Edward Stroud, 50, will spend up to eleven years in prison and then be on five years supervised release.

They say Lorne Howard, 47, will spend up to six years in prison and then follow through with three years of supervised release.

Both Stroud and Howard pleaded guilty in June 2015 to drug charges including possession of meth.

Prosecutors say in 2013, Howard admitted to smoking meth with Stroud about 40 times and bought it from Stroud around 20 to 30 times.
