Fire forces 27 assisted-living residents to be relocated

WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- A Pitt County assisted living facility sustained $5,000 in damage after a Monday night fire.

Firefighters tell 9 On Your Side it happened at Winterville Manor on the 2500 block of Jones Street.

Firefighters say they were able to contain the fire to the laundry room.

The fire forced 27 residents of the assisted-living facility to  to be relocated to another facility.
