Craven Co. Sheriff’s Office searching for two suspects in armed robbery

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – The Craven County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects in an armed robbery.

The Sheriff’s Office says it happened Thursday, January 28 at approximately 9:05 p.m. at the Speedway Gas Station located at 429 East Grantham Road in New Bern.

The first suspect is described as an approximately 6’00’’ tall black male with a medium to heavy build. The Sheriff’s Office says this suspect was wearing gray hooded sweatshirt with SENIOR printed in dark letters across the chest, dark colored pants or sweatpants, and white colored shoes.  They say he was armed with a black-colored semi-automatic pistol.

The second suspect is described as an approximately 6’00’ tall black or a black or white male with a light to medium build.  The Sheriff’s Office say he was wearing a dark green hooded shirt with a dark colored shirt that has a multicolor design on front, dark colored sweat pants, and white with dark colored design shoes.

The two left the area on foot and it is not known if they may have gotten into a vehicle.
