New report out on NC veterans

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) – The North Carolina Division of Veterans Affairs (NCDVA) released its 2015 report on the state of veterans and veterans services on Thursday.

It highlights successes like a 70% growth in service locations in the state since 2014.

It says North Carolina’s population is increasing and is at the highest its been in the past five years.

In eastern North Carolina, Craven, Pitt and Onslow County are reporting increases.

The report says more resources through the NC4Vets program are expected in 2016.
