Pedestrian hit and killed in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – One woman is dead after police say she was hit by a car in Greenville Monday night.

Greenville Police say it happened on Greenville Boulevard between Hooker Road and Landmark Street around 9:45 p.m.

Lt. Jonathan Curry says the woman was hit by an SUV and taken to Vidant Medical Center, where she later died.

Lt. Curry says the driver stayed on scene. No charges have been filed.

The woman’s identity has not yet been released, as police are working to notify her family.

Greenville Police continue investigating this incident.
