NC to open weather hotline for farmers Friday

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) – The North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner announced the state would activate its emergency hotline for farmers during the upcoming winter storm.

Steve Troxler said it would be open on Friday and stay open through the weekend.

People will be working the phone lines 24/7 through Sunday.

Farmers could get connected to resources if their farms are hit with ice, snow or wind damage.

If you have an emergency, you are asked to call 1-866-645-9403.

The department also has resources online.
