UPDATE: Panthers CB Josh Norman approves of calf named in his honor

AYDEN, N.C. (WNCT) — Josh Norman approves of his namesake at Simply Natural Creamery. WNCT’s Katie Harden tweeted the photo to the Carolina Panthers CB Thursday. Number 24 responded to Katie on Twitter Friday. This, after the Panthers practiced outside in freezing conditions.

AYDEN, N.C. (WNCT) — Simply Natural Creamery has a new baby cow featured in the front of its facility and the dairy farm is paying homage to the Carolina Panthers. WNCT’s Katie Harden visited the farm Wednesday for a story and met the unnamed calf that was born January 15th.

After Marketing Director Michael Fulcher told Katie the calf did not have a name, she suggested naming the baby after one of the Panther players. It’s tradition at Simply Natural Creamery to name babies using their mother’s first initial. In this case, the calf’s mother’s name was Jenny. Enthusiast cornerback Josh Norman was an easy pick. The calf even showed off some dance moves in celebration of his new name and some tasty treats.

Simply Natural Creamery has posted a sign with Josh so that visitors know he is extra special. The farm hopes the cow brings good luck to the Panthers when they face off against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
