Salisbury police find missing teen dead in wrecked car

SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) — Police in Salisbury say they have found the body of a missing teenager inside a wrecked car, dead from a gunshot wound.

Multiple media outlets reported that officers responded to a car found in a parking lot around 7 p.m. Monday.

Police say they found the body of 19-year-old TaLisha Danielle Crowder of Salisbury in the car. Police say Crowder had been reported missing earlier Monday.

Police have said they do not think the shooting was a random act, adding that the car didn’t belong to Crowder. They did not provide other details immediately. No arrests have been reported.
