Beaufort Fire Department breaks ground on new fire station

BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT) – The Town of Beaufort broke ground on their new fire station Tuesday that is to be built at 506 Live Oak Street.

Beaufort Town Manager Charlie Burgess says the community and fire department are long overdue for a new station and the town is excited for the new addition.

The new fire station is expected to open at the end of the year.
