Two men facing felony charges in New Bern break in

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – Two men are facing felony charges in connection with a New Bern break in.

It happened on the 2200 block of College Street just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

New Bern Police tell WNCT officers arrived at the scene and found both suspects coming out the back door. Police say they arrested 19-year-old Anton Ward and 18-year-old Leroy Nelson III, both of New Bern.

Ward is charged with felony conspiracy, breaking and entering, resisting a public officer, and simple possession. He was taken to the Craven County Jail under an $8,000 secured bond.

Nelson is charged with felony conspiracy, breaking and entering, and resisting a public officer. He was taken to the Craven County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

Ward and Nelson are scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.
