Jacksonville sex offender arrested for failing to report change of address

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies in Onslow County have arrested a sex offender for failing to notify authorities of his change of address.

23-year-old Jerimiah Adam Potter, of Dawson Cabin Road, Jacksonville, was arrested December 30, 2015 after the Sheriff’s Office was notified by Volusia County Sheriff’s office that he had moved from Florida to Onslow County. Deputies say Potter came to the sheriff’s office in early December and provided an address where he was reportedly staying, but they found out he gave a false address.

He was arrested December 30, 2015 and charged with Failure to Notify Change of Address and (2) Counts of Submitting False Information.

Potter was remanded to Onslow County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
